11/26/2024 1 Comment Tuesday evening November 26We are loving this wonderful weather! Even the cloudy days like today are amazing. After a little warmup tomorrow we are in store for some very nice Fall'ish days Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we will be picking amazingly red luscious juicy Strawberries and continuing the Fall activities.
Last weekend was fantastic Strawberry picking and I think we are in store for about the same this weekend. Friday and Saturday morning will have the greatest availability. I would expect to have plenty of Strawberries to pick all weekend. We will throw up a post Saturday night just to let Sunday's folks know what the field looks like. Berries picked in under 70 degree weather tend to last a little longer but I still recommend eating or processing them within a day or two of picking. We have not been able to pick any and test shelf life ----- someone always eats them! The Fall Activities are still in play minus Pony rides and Flower Picking. Unbelievably the Mazes are still holding up for the most part. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, we wish you all the happiest of Holidays and if you find yourself looking for something to do - come see us this weekend. 11/23/2024 0 Comments Saturday November 23rdWoooooo-eeee! We sure got some great strawberry pickers out to the farm today! Tomorrow’s picking will still be great because we’re opening up a whole new field! If you’ve been before you know the one I’m talking about! Berry picking will happen on the side of the road with the White House on it. Park there to get your berries and head to the other side to enjoy all the Farm’s activities and our famous popsicles! Can’t wait to see great strawberry picking again tomorrow
11/21/2024 0 Comments Thursday November 21What a beautiful day! And it looks like this gorgeous weather will continue through Sunday. The Farm is open Friday through Sunday for more Fall Fun activities and Strawberries to pick. Last night was a bit colder than expected. The Zinnia plants were killed in the freeze so flower picking is finished for the year. They were amazing but now time to think about Tulips in February of next year. We don’t see much damage to the Berries but pickers will want to inspect their berries as they are picked. It is normal to occasionally pick a berry that might not meet your criteria. Just discard it on the ground and step on it, please don’t hide it back under the leaves :). It is going to be a great relaxing few days - we hope you can make it out.
11/16/2024 0 Comments Saturday November 16thIt was another beautiful day on the farm! Lots of berries left the farm with lots more still in the field! In my opinion the berries are the perfect size and shape for some chocolate dipped strawberries. We will have lots of farm activities going tomorrow including pumpkin patch, mazes, hayrides, and more! Sunday will be the last day you can pick strawberries and enjoy the farm until next week! We are open Fridays thru Sundays in November. Stay tuned for updates on the farm for next week!
11/15/2024 0 Comments Friday November 15, 2024 Today was a beautiful day! And tomorrow looks like it might be close to the same. The Farm will be open with all the Fun Fall Activities AND Fresh Strawberries to pick. The Berries picked today were absolutely gorgeous, I wanted to eat every single one that came out of the field. There will be a good supply to start the day tomorrow. If the crowds are similar to last weekend, I would expect to have Strawberries to pick most if not all of Saturday. but earlier is always better. We will just have to wait until tomorrow evening before we can determine availability for Sunday. It all depends on freezing weather as to how much longer we will have berries to pick. Stay tuned here for weekly updates. Hope to see you soon!!
11/13/2024 0 Comments Wednesday 11/13/24These November weekends are pretty nice and easy going. The weather is a bit milder and everyone seems more relaxed and laid back. We have a surprise for folks coming out on Friday —— fresh Strawberries! The plants we planted a month ago are putting on some fruit that is ready to be picked. Strawberries are 3.50 per pound plus 1.50 for the picking box. It looks to me like we have about 150 pounds in the field to pick. As soon as those are gone it will be another week before more are ready It just depends on Fridays crowd whether or not we have berries for Saturday. Yum yum, hope to see you soon. 11/9/2024 0 Comments Saturday November 9thWe had a nice gentle rain last night, but the best part this morning is that there is no mud! Our grounds have been so dry for so long they soaked up everything right away. We're excited to be open with fall activities and farm fun till 5:30 today! We've got everything going on today except the pony rides.
Strawberries are developing nicely, but not ready to pick yet... stay tuned for strawberry picking! 11/7/2024 0 Comments Thursday November 7, 2024The farm is looking good after Monday's rain shower! All of the grounds have soaked up any moisture that we received, and no rain has fallen since Monday! We will be open rain or shine tomorrow with most fall farm activities. The only things not available this coming weekend are the pony rides and concession stand. Hayrides, Mazes, Flowers, Pumpkins, Bouncing, Sand Art, Pumpkin Painting, Goat Rides, Barrel Train, and Goats to Feed and Pet will all be open! Can't wait to have y'all out soon!
11/3/2024 0 Comments Sunday November 3, 2024We are LOVING this fall weather! Better late than never! The farm is going to shift gears and move to being open on the weekends only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). The 'Harvest of Fall Fun' will continue every weekend in November. I've seen plenty of blooms and green berries in the strawberry field which leads me to believe that we might have some berries to pick in December!
